One our favourites from last years En Primeur offering has not disappointed. “Les Crays” is bold and richly spiced immediate grapefruit and clementine fruit and balanced oak There’s more of that satisfying lingering spice on the finish too. This is a complex, layered wine that will continues to reveal its character for the next few years. Enjoy this one from 2024-2028
What is En Primeur?
En Primeur or “Wine Futures” is a method of buying wine while it is still in barrel, before it is bottled. Buying wine early offers the chance to buy at a reduced price and secure wine that is very limited in availability. The wine is bottled and released a year or two after the vintage, and we would recommend aging the wines further before drinking them. As such, this is recommended for customers who are looking to create or add to a wine collection at home and have the right conditions for storing wines at home.

Producer Info
Eric is a star vigneron, based in the village of Vergisson, and currently has 4.8 hectares of vines planted between 1930 and 1979. He has inherited a great knowledge of nature and biodynamics from his grandfather and this has been a major influence in his approach to viticulture and winemaking. All grapes are hand picked and fermented and matured for ten to fifteen months in barriques and demi-muids. The wines are hand bottled and are, usually, unfiltered.
Pouilly Fuissé 1er Cru ‘Les Crays‘ Seven different parcels, averaging 55 years old, planted on the warmer, southern side of the Vergisson hill on blue marl and limestone. Elevage in pieces, 25% new. The resulting wines are full, rich and minerally with great length and aging potential. The 2020 was the first vintage where certain, favoured Pouilly-Fuisse sites have been designated as Premier Cru; in the case of Eric Forest, this applies to Les Crays. Pouilly Fuissé.

The inventory is always changing and we do not control it completely due to the fact that many parties are involved, which includes our warehouse and factory. This means that the actual stock could change at any time. It is possible that you will not receive your order after it has been placed.
Our policy lasts thirty days. If it's been more 30 days since you made your purchase, we unfortunately can't give you a full refund or exchange.
You are able to return an item if it is unused and is in the same condition when you received it. You must have the item in its original packaging.
